Tarrant on Tour - free advice on game larders

Tarrant Refrigeration, the UK's No.1 game larder supplier, for the first time will be exhibiting at both the GCT Scottish Game Fair and the CLA Game Fair. Andy Tarrant, who has over 30 years experience in the industry, will be offering free advice to all customers about their game larder needs or will just be happy to answer questions about the range or discuss how shoots, however large or small, need to comply with the FSA game meat regulations.

On display will be the self assemble game larder system that can be erected easily within a day and one of the larger bespoke game larders that can be built to suit individual estate requirements. Andy says that the self assemble game larders are great for shoots of up to 100 to 125 birds per day but if you shoot more on a day then really you ought to consider the bespoke option, so that the birds are brought down to the required 4°C swiftly.

New for 2007 and with the deer stalking community in mind Tarrant Refrigeration have introduced a new range of unique deer handling equipment. This includes a low cost light weight pulley system with the option of a fully integrated weighing system that can be added as an optional extra. And with the home stalker in mind hooked bars, made from aluminium alloy and non-toxic plastic materials are also available for hanging and close carcass work.

New Unique Deer Handling Range Launched

Tarrant Refrigeration, the Uk’s No.1 game larder supplier, have introduced a new range of deer handling equipment that can be installed in their range of game larders from deer rails to a full rail and pulley system. Designed specifically for handling deer these are made from food safe anodized aluminium and non-toxic washable plastic materials. The range of deer rails are unique, designed and manufactured in Italy for the food industry. The manufacturers, Italmodular, have been making these systems for over 30 years ensuring that quality, performance, design and functionality are never compromised.

“We have been appointed as the UK’s sole distributor of this unique system” said Andy Tarrant “The advantage that the Italmodular range has over traditional steel hanging systems is that they are light weight and easy to install, thus the system offers very good value for money. Additionally as it has been so well designed it requires very little maintenance. I am delighted to add this to our range specifically with the stalker and deer farmer in mind”.

The range also includes the option of a weighing station so that each deer carcass added can be weighed as it is put onto the pulley system. There are two different gauges of rail, one ideal for Red deer and the other smaller gauge ideal for Roe deer. Either gauge can easily be fitted into the Tarrant range of game larder. The deer rails can be hung from the roof of the deer larder or suspended from an internal racking system that can be built to meet individual requirements.

Added to the range with the home stalker in mind are the hooked bars. They are made from aluminium alloy and non-toxic plastic materials. These can be wall or floor mounted as required.
